We are happy to announce that 7 puppies- 5 boys and 2 girls- were born on the 4th of March at Emilias Kennel in Göteborg. Mother Lillemor and the pups are doing wonderfully. There are still some boys looking for new, active homes. If you are interested, please contact Emilias Kennel.
A litter of normal wirehaired dachshunds are expected at Emilias Kennel outside Gothenburg, Sweden the first week in March. The father is our Baxter and the mother is SEVCH Team-Freja Lillemor ( Excellent, CK, Cert) who is an active deer hunter and excellent weight of 7.8 kg. Baxter has performed mentality tests/BHP/BPH in 3 countries (Switzerland, Germany and Sweden) and has the following testing merits:
Germany-Sfk, SP (Hare Drev-anlagsprov), BHP-G (TS-best of day)
Italy– SchwhK/40 (Elite-Viltspårprov 40 hrs; 92pts, 2nd in trial)
Switzerland- WaT (water test-full points)
Sweden- SEVCH (3x1st prize open class + 1xHP); Grytprov (underground aptitude test on badger) Kval 2
Inbreeding coefficient on the litter is 0.2%
John was kind enough to send his birthday at the BPH with Baxter. I’ve tested Baxter in companion dog/mental tests in Germany and Switzerland in the past, but the Swedish version was something new to me. We went into it only watching the video from the SKK (seen here), but I am sure some people practice for certain moments. In any case, Baxter got a shining report and comments from the examiner. Below you can see the spindle diagram with Baxter’s results (in red) and the breed’s result (all dachshunds) in blue.

Ina and Baxter are both dogs with excellent, friendly mentalities, both show champions and have results in blood tracking in Sweden. Baxter has passed on his love of people and friendly disposition to his previous offspring. He is also sire to 2 Swedish Blood Tracking Champions(here) and other offspring have been training in tracking and hunting and our own girl Stella has been rated Excellent on show. 2019.07.07- They did it! John and Stella worked their way to a final 1st prize in viltspår today making Stella a Swedish Viltspår champion! The judge warned of a moose and her calf in the forest today and it was a super rainy weekend, but Stella managed the track in a commendable 19 minutes. John was a natural handler and did a spectacular job with his first dog.
This makes the 2nd of Baxter’s puppies to earn their Swedish Blood tracking champion and both from the same litter. Sister Ebba earned her champion title few weeks earlier. We are SO proud of these girls!

2019.06.14- Today we send out biggest congratulations to Baxter’s daughter Team-Freja Pollux (Barbwired Better than the Rest x Bellomis Vodka Lime) on earning her Swedish Blood Tracking Champion title!
Pollux “Ebba” is the sister to our Stella and the first puppy from Baxter to earn a champion title.
Congrats to Ebba’s owners and breeder Carina for their great work. We are very proud!
2019.06.02- We decided to get some training for the upcoming show season by attending an inofficial show at the local Brukshundsklub here in Göteborg. Stella behaved so well despite little to no training for the past 6 months.
The judge gave Stella a lovely evaluation! We are very proud. We did not get any love in the Best in Show ring, but it was a very positive experience for Stella and I. Hopefully more nice results will follow in the coming months.
2019.05.26- A big congratulations go out to John and Stella for a fantastic performance. Stella earned her 2nd, 1st prize in Open class blood tracking with a time of 20 min!
