We are so proud of this young boy and his dedicated owner.

Moniker Atlas takes 1st prize in blood tracking

2025.05.11- Västmanlands Taxklubben Ordinarie Viltspårprov: Moniker Atlas “Thorleif” and owner Jenny took part in their first open class blood tracking trial today.

Thorleif did a magnificent job, earning a 1st prize and placing 8th out of the 19 dogs entered! We are so proud of this pair! In addition to nice working results, Thorleif has earn Excellent, CK and Cert on show in Sweden with several more “Excellent” ratings from dachshund specialist judges. The future looks bright for this young male.

Easter egg hunt

We were lucky enough to get a spot at the nosework Easter egg hunt hosted by Noskompaniet in Gothenburg.🐇🐣 Stella was our experienced searcher while Sophie was more along for the ride.😅 It was a lovely day in the forest (despite my allergies🤧) and now we are home and the girls dug into their well earned lordagsgodis.🍭

Stella passes her doftprov with flying colors

Eucalyptus test passed!

2025.03.16- Our SEVCH Team-Freja Shaula “Stella” and John went to a Doftprov for Nosework today. During COVID, John and Stella took some courses and did some training in Nosework, but we never got around to testing Stella. So after a few practices, we signed her up and today she passed with flying colors. 🤩

We are very happy and looking forward to continue training for more tests and hopefully a NW1 title.

Jumping into 2025

Sophie enjoying the fresh snow in Gothenburg

Sometimes having a young dog reminds you to have fun and just enjoy yourself. Sophie was a good reminder as I watched her romp around in the snow yesterday.

Zooming in our yard

We are looking forward to a lot of things in 2025 including more hunting training for Sophie and, hopefully, the arrival of our “B” litter. In the meanwhile, Sophie and I are signed up for some ring training courses and I hope that I will be able to start in the rings with her later this year. Even though she and her siblings turned 17 months old recently, she still has some maturing to do in mind and body. Regardless, we are happy with how she and her siblings have been developing and hope for many successful years together.

Merry Christmas!

John, Baxter, Stella, Sophie and I want to wish everyone near and far a Merry Christmas and a great start to 2025!

Moniker “A”s send their Christmas Greetings.

I also wanted to spend a little time to talk about the activities our A litter has accomplished in the past year.

Moniker “A” litter (Mulitch Jamiroquai vom Eisenstein x SEVCH Team-Freja Shaula) born August 5th, 2023:

Moniker Admiral “Lasse” has been training for the hunting season with his master.

Moniker Amarillo “Milo” was shown in puppy classes earning 1x BOB/1xBOS (both with HP) and 1xBIG1. Additionally, he has been to puppy school and has become a great office dog.

Moniker Apollo “Bertil” completed the BPH and has been training tracking with his owners.

Moniker Atlas “Thorleif” was our show star for the year earning several BOB & group placements in puppy classes and Exc1, CK, CACIB-J, CERT and BM4 on his first official show. Moreover, he and owner Jenny have been busy in the forest, passing his Aptitude test in blood tracking.

Moniker Aurora “Sophie” has been shown sparingly in unofficial shows earning BOB and BIG1 puppy and BOB, BIG-4/Junior this year. John and Sophie have also been busy completing the BPH and passing her Aptitude test in blood tracking. We will continue to train with Sophie and hope for more results next year.

Moniker Azacca “Esther” has been working in the garden with her family and enjoying life as a city dog.

We are so happy and proud of all our pups and their families. ❤️💙💚🧡🖤🩷

We are also eagerly awaiting our SEVCH J Brianna Brava vom Eisenstein to come into heat early next year. When the pregnancy is confirmed, we will announce it here.

Until then, have a calm and relaxing holiday season.

24.09.22: A little belated, but we had a celebratory fika for the “A”s today and we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The new neighbors must think we looked a bit funny with 8 dachshunds walking in the neighborhood and then jumping into the lake. Overall, everyone behaved well and it was absolutely wonderful to see all the puppies again and see how they have developed.🩷💚🧡💙❤️🖤 A million thanks to all my extended dog family for traveling near and far to spend a few hours with us.💗

Moniker Aurora BIG-4 Junior at SBK inofficial show

Sophie’s prizes

24.09.14: Maybe it wasn’t the best idea to sign up for a dog show right after coming home from a conference, but oh well. Sophie (Moniker Aurora) and I showed together for the first time and ended up with BOB Junior with HP and BIG-4 Junior. We have training to do in the ring, but it was a nice, well organized sunny day.🐾🩷
