Boys searching new, loving homes

3 boys out of Baxter and Signex are still looking for loving, forever homes. Parents are show and blood tracking champions with stable, loving temperament and also good with other dogs. Some photos of the boys and their explorations, meeting new family members, and experiences can be seen below.

Born August 22nd, these little guys are just over 10 weeks old and are chipped, vet checked, had their first vaccinations and come with papers/pedigree.

Happy 1st Birthday to Freddie’s puppies!

Happy first birthday to the puppies from Skogsvettens 3rd litter (J Frk-Fröjd’s Freja  x SEVCH J Fallilou du Sangre Bleu)!! I am so happy to see how they have developed and very proud that Freddie and Freja passed on some great genes and the pups all seem to be doing well in their respective families. Additionally, daughter Troja earned her blood tracking championship (SEVCH) this summer and son Ymer was rated Excellent 1 on his first official dog show! img_9343

We are so happy for the great development of this litter and hope to see more great things from them in the future. 🙂 Although Freddie is no longer in my home, it warms my heart to see how his offspring are doing.

So a very, very Happy 1st Birthday to Skogsvettens Thekla, Troja, Idun, Vile and Ymer! We wish you very many more happy and fun-filled years!

Little Updates

First of all, we want to extend a HUGE congratulations to Freddie’s daughter Skogsvettens Troja, aka Trixie, who passed her Bloodtracking aptitude test (Godkänd Anlagstest Viltspår) and 9 months and 1 day. She went on to an impressive 1st prize in Open class blood tracking just this past week at not even 10 months old! Biggest congrats to Trixie’s owners and breeder!

Those of us here in Mölndal decided to go to Småland for the first time to attend a taxklub show in Skillingaryd. We didn’t win big, but had good results, despite the temperamental weather. Liina received 2nd best female and Baxter was Exc3 in Champion class under judge Cindy Pettersson (SE). It was a nice day to see old friends and I received some great photos from Majron of Jaktvallens kennel. 🙂

Liina on the cover of Der Dachshund

Aside from a wonderful trip and 2 great show results, we were excited to find out this weekend that Liina is the cover photo of the Deutscher Teckel Klub’s (German Dachshund Club) magazine this summer! Many thanks to Joana Krietsch (vom Eisenstein) for a photo that perfectly captures our princess.

We couldn’t be prouder of our little star who has been shown only 3 times this year and received 1xBOB & 2xBOS and 3xCACIB in 2 countries, earned the titles CIB, CIE and VDH-Europasieger, and also completed working tests in Germany: Sfk, Sp & BhFK/95.

Many thanks to all my mentors and friends for all their support along the way!

Double BOS in Oulu, Finland

6 days and 3500 km through the length of Sweden. A very long road trip that ended with great results.

Barbwired Champagne “Liina” was awarded 2x BOS with CACIBs from breed judge Marina Kovalenko (RU) and Anne Sume (EE), both days with lovely critiques!

Additionally, Barbwired Better than the Rest was Ex and BM4 in Ch class under judge Kovalenko. The long trip was a bit hard on our boy and we decided not to show him on the second day, so he was our kennel cheerleader instead. 🙂

We were lucky to have sunny skies, beautiful summer weather and great traveling companions for our crazy trip. We really saw the beauty that Sweden has to offer including our first wild moose and midnight sun. What an experience!

Liina wins BOB at the Europasieger Show in Dortmund!

1750 km round trip in 48 hours… I must be crazy. That craziness paid off, though, and I am excited to report that Liina (Ch. Barbwired Champagne) won big in Dortmund.

At the VDH-Europasieger Exhibition, one of the biggest shows in Germany, Liina won:

Exc1, VDH-CAC, DTK-CAC, CACIB, BOB

from 25 entered miniature wires under judge A. Küppenbender (DE).

Additionally, these results fulfilled Liina’s CIB & CIE titles and qualified her for Cruft’s 2018.

We are tired, but what an adrenaline rush! Still over the moon about our win and so proud of my little girl!

With that her trip to Germany ends with amazing success: 3 passed hunting examinations (sfk, Sp, BhFK/95) and 3 new titles.

A great many thanks to my good friend Joana Krietsch for suggesting I join her at the show. It was beyond memorable, not only in kilometers driven. 🙂

Now we are all back in Sweden and ready to relax and enjoy the beautiful summer weather.
