2025.08.30-Today was sister Sophie’s day to be “Very Good.”🥈Sophie has been sitting home and working on her hunting skills while her siblings were in the show ring. Today she and I went to an exterior bedömning hosted by the Halland Kennel club. Sophie had happy feet on the damp grass, but overall did well and got a very nice critique. ☺️ We will spend a bit of time in the coming week preparing for more grass walking instead of jogging, and hopefully get excellent next time around.💖
2025.08.24- Backamo Dog show, 🇸🇪 Lasse (Moniker Admiral) made his show debut in Open class. He was a bit more interested in smelling all the scents than showing (what to expect from a hunting dog😅🤭), but he behaved well and got Very Good 🥈with a very nice critique! For a dog that never set foot in a show ring, I’m very pleased.💚
Now hunting season is around the corner and we will aim to get him a merit and try our luck in the ring again in hunting class next year.

2025.08.17- An exciting day at the Nordic Dog Show in Eskilstuna, Sweden ended with the 1st champion under the Moniker Kennel name!
Moniker Atlas “Thorleif” was shown in Jaktklass earning Exc 1 CK with an excellent critique under judge Jan Stääv 🇸🇪. This last CK secured his Swedish Show Champion title! Thorleif ended the day as Best male 3. We are so incredibly proud of Jenny and Thorleif for the great team they have become.💙
2025.08.05- Today we wish a very, very happy birthday to our “A” puppies!
This group has grown into a very lovely set of dogs and we are happy that their owners have all kept in touch over the years.

2025.08.02- Solna, Sweden
Moniker Atlas “Thorleif” and owner Jenny were at the exhibition today for the Östsvenska taxklubben. We are happy to report that Thorleif won the hunting class and was the only male with Exc and CK today and earned the CERT. Icing on the cake was earning Best Opposite Sex (BOS/BIM) to end the day.

2025.05.24- Boden International Show, Sweden. Biggest congratulations to Jenny and Moniker Atlas, Thorleif, who was Exc2 CK in hunting class and ended as 3rd best male with reserve CERT under judge Robert Kubes, CZ🇨🇿.
We are so proud of this young boy and his dedicated owner.
2025.05.11- Västmanlands Taxklubben Ordinarie Viltspårprov: Moniker Atlas “Thorleif” and owner Jenny took part in their first open class blood tracking trial today.
Thorleif did a magnificent job, earning a 1st prize and placing 8th out of the 19 dogs entered! We are so proud of this pair! In addition to nice working results, Thorleif has earn Excellent, CK and Cert on show in Sweden with several more “Excellent” ratings from dachshund specialist judges. The future looks bright for this young male.
Additionally, another family member took part in the test today, Baxter’s son SEU(V)CH Emilias Hugo Boss. Hugo also earned a well deserved 1st prize and thus closed his Swedish Blood Tracking Championship! (SEVCH) biggest congratulations to Johan, Kristin and Hugo!🏆
We were lucky enough to get a spot at the nosework Easter egg hunt hosted by Noskompaniet in Gothenburg.🐇🐣 Stella was our experienced searcher while Sophie was more along for the ride.😅 It was a lovely day in the forest (despite my allergies🤧) and now we are home and the girls dug into their well earned lordagsgodis.🍭
