Today we are proud to announce great results from Liina at Malmö international dog show in Sweden.
Judge: Jens Martin Hansen (DK)
Liina’s results:
Jakt/Brukshund class: Exc1, CK, Best Female 3, res-CERT, res-CACIB

Great job little girl!
Liina (Barbwired Champagne) and I attended our first exhibition of the year in Sweden and she did a great job.
In Jaktklass: 2x Excellent; 1xCK; 1xRes-CERT; 1xBest Female 4
We would have liked more, but good evaluations and a good performance in the ring made me happy. Plus on day 2, the winner of our jaktklass was last year’s Nordic Winner, so Exc 2 was ok with me. The judges were not especially generous with awarding CKs on either day, but regardless we showed our best!
Big thank you to A. Buvik (NO) & N. Molin (SE) for the nice evaluations of Liina!

Baxter did limited showing this year with me in Sweden, but in both shows were were rated “Excellent” and in his final show of the year he was Best male 2.
Other than myself, Baxter is handled exclusively by my friend Nikos Papadopoulos. Baxter spent two months in Budapest with Nikos and family and came home with amazing results, which included finishing his International Championships!
I cannot thank Nikos enough for his great work with Baxter!
For Liina’s last shows of the year, she was shown at the Helsinki Winner and Finnish Winner shows by her breeder. She received quite nice results and was happy, happy, happy (!!!) in the ring on both days. This is a little girl who’s tail doesn’t stop.
Her results:
From working class: Ex1, CK & Ex2
Not a bad way to end her show year! Now she is home and snuggling with Baxter and I on the couch like the true princess she is (or thinks she is)!
Her results for 2015 (limited showing)-
7x Exc
6x CK
5x CERT from 3 countries (Sweden, Finland, Lithuania)
2x BOB
2x BOS
2x Winner
Fulfilled the requirements for WUTJCh (applied for)
Additionally, she completed all her working requirements and earned the title of Swedish Blood Tracking Champion (SEVCH)!

I am very much looking forward to see what the future brings for this little girl!
Markku & Liina(Barbwired Champagne) took a show trip down to Panevezys, Lithuania on October 24/25 and came back with great results: 2xExc, 2xCAC, 2xWinner, 2x BOB!
Furthermore, Markku also took Barbwired Austria-Liina’s Mom-and Barbwired De Tomaso-Iita’s puppy- who both did very well, earning the titles of Lithuanian Champion & Lithuanian Junior Champion, respectively. Great job Markku and the Barbwired Dogs!
For the past month Baxter’s sister Barbwired Bella Bambina “Iita” has been with us here in Sweden. I was asked by their breeder Markku if I would help in training, testing, and showing Iita. Always up for a challenge, I, of course, agreed and when Liina left for Finland, Iita arrived. We have had a very busy, but successful month!
We started out our time together with tracking trials… first a super successful Aptitude test, followed the next day by a rainy, but really good 1st prize in Open class. That first prize earned Iita her Finnish, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Welt Union Teckel Championships!

After a short break due to a work conference, we were back at tracking! A new judge, new location and horribly windy weather, but we earned our 2nd 1st prize!
It didn’t stop there though! I signed up for an exhibition with Baxter and Iita in Tvååker through the Hallands Dachshund club. 107 dachshunds were signed up for the exhibition and 27 of them were standard wirehaired. Both Baxter and Iita did wonderful… and I guess I did fairly well as a handler. 😉
Baxter (Champion Class): Ex2, CK, 2nd best male
Iita (Jakt/Working class): Ex2, CK, 3rd best female
I was happy with those results, but even happier that the result meant that Iita was now also Swedish Show Champion!
But we didn’t stop there as we were SO close to the Tracking Championship. Then on Monday it was back into the forest for our 3rd open class tracking trial. The weather was on our side and Iita did her work and was awarded her 3rd first prize and another title: Swedish Tracking Champion (SEVCH)!
This whole experience was challenging for me, but also a great learning experience. I learned a lot about handling and what I, as well as the dog, was capable of! It was definitely difficult at times as Iita doesn’t “speak” English or German (my dog languages) and I don’t speak hers (Finnish). Would I take in any dog for training and showing? No, for sure not. Iita was a perfect houseguest and a perfect copy of Baxter, making the whole process easy. She is a smart girl and we bonded very quickly. She wants to be with me all the time and decided I am her person. I will be quite sad when she returns home.
Thank you to Marja for entrusting me with this great girl, for Markku for encouraging me to try and push myself with this challenge, and judges J.Nilsson, G.Hilborg, E.Ahlin, & J. Myrman for their time and judgement.
Introducing: FICH, LTCH, LVCH, SEU(V)CH, SEVCH, WUTCH Barbwired Bella Bambina
On the 22nd of September, Liina traveled with Salla for some time back in Finland at kennel Barbwired. While there the plan was for her to do some show training, training for the PIKA trial and showing with Markku.
Liina went to her first Finnish show with Markku on the 3rd of October in Tuulos and cleaned house! The little girl from Junior class was Ex1, CQ, Best Female 1, CERT, BOS! With these results, Liina now has earned the title WUTJCh. Huge thanks go to co-owner Markku for great training and handling of the little girl!
Happy breeder with the kennel’s first homebred mini wire.
